The Big Search - Help Us!
Sunday, 07 April 2013 17:00

Coatbridge has a number of historical places that have vanished out of our sight through land changes and progress! We are hoping you can help us track down missing places that might exist in family albums, boxes, drawers, on video in your own house - and perhaps you did not realise it!

Many people have photos and videos - and they might be one of the places below that is highly sought after! Or maybe you have photos and don't know where they were photographed - it might be one of the places on the hitlist and we can help identify it. Or - you might have a family photo and one of these places below are in view in the background!

Friday, 11 May 2012 17:01
Tomorrow will be the 30th anniversary of the death of (arguably) the best MP that Coatbridge has ever seen - James Dempsey. He was MP for both Coatbridge and Airdrie from 1959 until 1982. Does anyone have any memories or even a photograph of him? If you can email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or message us through the Facebook page www.facebook.com/CoatbridgeMuseum  - it would be most helpful.
